Morgann LeLeux Romero, a finalist at the 2021 Olympics representing the United States, returned to competition for the first time in 511 days to place second in the women's elite section at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center. LeLeux Romero, representing New Heights Gym in Louisiana, cleared 14-9.50 (4.51m) on her second attempt to edge Capital High senior Hana Moll on fewer attempts, as the Northwest Pole Vault Club athlete made the height on her third attempt.
